President's Message
METALIX Inc. was founded in 1956 and Kawakami Hagane Co., Ltd. in 1941, both as trading companies specializing in specialty steel. Ever since, we have served as a bridge between steelmakers and our customers. All that we are today is thanks to your support, and we are deeply grateful.
What should a specialty steel trading house truly be?
Pursuing the answer to this question is our mission. We have worked to become the hub that optimally connects steelmakers and customers, and to build a model that delivers to the market as a whole at the lowest possible cost.
To establish a system that efficiently delivers what our customers need, when they need it—and to strengthen our quality control and delivery management—we have steadily developed the optimal placement of our branches, our inventory lineup, cutting equipment, automated warehousing, machining equipment, delivery network, and a proprietary CP system that uses image recognition to eliminate human error.
In recent years, international competition has grown ever fiercer. To bring our customers proposals with a competitive edge in this environment, we have established overseas subsidiaries that deliver Japanese-level quality in inventory, forging, machining, heat treatment, and inspection.
Small though we may be, we strive every day to build a company our customers can rely on.
We have always made bold proposals whenever they would benefit our customers, and we will continue to uphold this stance, valuing genuine sincerity and deep, lasting relationships.
We believe that only people who walk the right path as human beings and pursue a beautiful way of living can make truly good proposals, and we consider it our important responsibility to nurture such people.
